ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

Glenwood Farm is a boutique, full-service hunter/jumper stable. We offer thoughtful and individualized training programs for hunter, jumper, and equitation horses & riders.  Owned and operated by Anna Hallene, our program is founded on principles of horsemanship, professionalism, and dedication to the sport in an inviting and customer-service driven atmosphere.

OUR PROGRAM

Our all-inclusive model creates comprehensive and proactive programs that take into account the whole animal - encompassing not just training, but also the nutritional, fitness, physiological, and psychological needs of each horse.  We work with a carefully assembled team of veterinarians, farriers, and other equine care providers to optimize the performance of our equine athletes.  This both maximizes the potential and preserves the longevity of the animals in our care.

HOW WE OPERATE

For our riders, we provide a tailored training based on your unique goals, learning styles, and needs.  Our atmosphere is unique in that it combines a positive, growth-minded environment with the sophisticated instruction required to for clients to both enjoy their horses and achieve their goals within the sport.  With those goals in mind, we attend horse shows both locally and nationally, spending our winters in Wellington, FL, and often staying closer to home during the summer months.  We work with both amateur and junior riders alike, as well as horses of all ages and levels.

OWNER/TRAINER

Anna is an accomplished professional and a lifetime student of the sport.  A successful competitor in all three rings as a junior, Anna has focused on working her way into the upper levels of the jumper ring in more recent years.  As a junior, Anna won the reserve champion title in the USHJA’s Emerging Athletes Program, earning a coveted spot in the USHJA’s Horsemastership Clinic in Wellington, FL.  As a result of her performance, she was offered a working student position at a large American breeding farm, where she gained invaluable experience working with young horses.

As an amateur, Anna juggled her riding with her studies at Wheaton College.  During this time, she earned ribbons in both the open jumper and Amateur-Owner Jumper divisions at major horse shows, and competed in her first Grand Prix at age 20.  After becoming a professional, Anna has continued to pursue her own education while also competing in both the open jumper and National Grand Prix classes.

Anna has passion for teaching and development of young horses.  As both a rider and trainer, she employs an encouraging, straightforward approach with an emphasis on proper horsemanship and flatwork, clear communication between horse and rider, and on fostering confidence through positivity and consistency.  Known for her creativity and ability to problem solve, Anna enjoys the challenge of figuring out the best way to help her individual riders and horses succeed according to their unique needs and learning styles.  Under Anna’s instruction, riders have earned ribbons and championships at major horse shows including WEF, Traverse City, Kentucky Horse Shows, and HITS Lamplight.  Whether your ambition be to achieve specific goals in competition, to further your riding education, or to watch your horse grow and compete with a professional, Anna has the knowledge and experience to help you along the way.
